Thank you for donating to the 2015 Mono Lake trip! In this time of drought, it is more important than ever to educate ourselves on water issues. This incredible trip follows the California Aqueduct through the Mojave desert and up the Owens Valley to Mono Lake, where students visit the pristine mountain streams from which LA gets it water. They will come back forever changed as water conservation advocates!
This is an educational trip for Kid City students, in partnership with the Mono Lake Committee Outdoor Education Program, and Outward Bound Adventures. Thanks to longtime volunteer Herley Jim Bowling for and staff member Laura Cuellar for making it happen! And thank you - the donors for supporting this trip - for many students it is their first time out of LA - and it couldn't be to a more beautiful place.
