Kids from Kid City Hope Place are busy this week getting ready to host “Splash of LA,” a fundraiser for Kid City. “Splash of LA” will have games and activities for the entire family to enjoy! Annual highlights include a photo booth, bouncy house, arts & crafts, children’s games and activities, delicious tacos and pupusas, raffle & prizes. New this year: tug-o-war, sponge bombs, a theater piece by Kid City's youngest participants, and a table where you can paint, draw, and write a letter to child refugees from Central America. Please join us!
Pay at the door ($5 per person includes performances, entrance, games and activities) or if you can't come but would like to support us, right here.
There will also be great music and dance performances featuring Kid City's jazz band, “The Baked Potatoes," Kid City dancers, and other performers.
Every year, “Splash of LA” is organized by Kid City’s high school graduates -- all of whom are headed to college this fall -- with help from their younger peers. With their years of hard work and determination, these students personify Kid City’s goal of developing a community of healthy, aware, civic-minded and college-bound youth leaders. We look forward to seeing you at “Splash of LA” as you enjoy a day of festivities and support these great students!
The success of this event depends on contributions from local sponsors who underwrite costs and contribute prizes to our raffle. Sponsors will be named in our press release, advertising, and program. We are especially looking for someone to donate funds for the event’s biggest attraction -- a dunk tank!
The sponsorship committee will be out over the summer; you may be receiving a visit soon. If you do, please welcome these young people to your business and consider making a generous donation. Thank you!
